Stools we love, perfect for Earth Day

Last week was Earth Day so we're mentioning something we saw repurposed. They aren't fasteners but they sort of look like them, right?

The site where I found them says they are old truck springs but they remind me of flat head machine screws. I would love stools like this.

Found this at House Beautiful. Read the whole article because they repurposed SO MANY things in so many ways in this house, it was really surprising and super interesting.

I'm really impressed by this furniture. It makes a lot of sense using the screw threading to make it adjustable, which makes it really versatile furniture. And it is good looking too!

The Coolest Cooler

Aunt Peaches posts great ideas of stuff to make but this one really caught my attention - a hex head covered fridge! She calls it a show stopper and she's right.

The post teaches you how to do a makeover on your boring refrigerator with peel-and-stick wallpaper. Certainly you could use any pattern but this is exactly which one I would have chosen.

This furniture is nuts!

Both of my sisters moved this month to new homes and I've been looking for gifts and furniture to get them - things new homes need - and I came across these! Imagine the look of shock and surprise I will find on their faces when I show up at the house warmings toting these along!

It's a sculpture and a table - I think they are so great!

This one is a stool, although I might use it as an end table.  And I read that it DOES unscrew! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

They were designed by Peter Bingham and Charlie Heyward from the Steneby School at the University of Gothenburg.  I don't know who took the photos but there are more if you go HERE.

My sisters are going to need coasters too - I'll get these from etsy for them!
